Kristina has been in skincare since 2002. But her story starts earlier with her own skin.

Years before becoming an esthetician, she struggled with severe redness and sensitivity. She called it her "tomato face": inflamed, reactive, impossible to manage. Without knowing it, she had weakened her own skin barrier by using harsh products that stripped away healthy skin instead of supporting it.

She did not enter esthetics to open a studio. She entered it to understand her own skin. Before that, she spent ten years as a quality control technician work that trained her to test, measure, and never guess. She brought that same discipline to skincare.

Over two decades of client work taught her one thing again and again: quick fixes do not last, because they never address why the skin is struggling. That understanding became the Barrier-First Skin Reset™ — her structured method built on barrier strengthening, calming inflammation, and supporting the skin's natural balance over time.

Today, Beauty Journey Studio has been voted Best Skincare Studio in Garden Grove four years in a row (2022–2025) and featured by Voyage LA in 2017 and 2025. Kristina serves her clients in English, Vietnamese, and Chinese — many of whom have stayed with her for ten, fifteen, even twenty years.

Sandy Trinh graduated from The Beauty Academy in San Diego in 2002, obtaining her California Cosmetology license in 2002 and Massage Therapy license in 2011. Having worked at Beauty Journey Studio for 9 years, Sandy is passionate about building her clients’ confidence and maintaining positive, long-lasting relationships. She makes the clients feel at home by being highly attentive to the clients’ skin goals, and firmly believes in helping others radiate and achieve their best outward appearance.
